What is SNN?
SNN is the ‘Sean and Nick Network,’ a system of websites created and maintained by Sean Armstrong and Nicholas Cristo. The sites composing the network have alternated over the years, but the primary facet has always been SNN Core. True to its name, it is the ‘Core’ of the Sean and Nick Network, acting as a central hub for the cumulative interests and resources of Sean and Nick.
Since it’s inception, and for the few years to follow, SNN Core was a blog without a point. Sean and Nick have used the blog format to share random, and often pointless, information and material and other fun and interesting tidbits, such as tech and gadget news, cyber-culture and consumer whore commentary, as well as the occasional legitimate news piece. Since then, Sean and Nick have become more involved with social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, and SNN Core has evolved from a standard blog to somewhat of a social media experiment. Thus, here is the new and improved SNN Core version X.0 (Collapse).
About Sean
Sean Armstrong is an IT professional and independent musician from the Pacific Northwest. From downtempo to tech-house, Sean, under the artist name of Sliptide, has been producing electronic based music for nearly 13 years. With several trip-hop and downtempo tracks reaching the top 3 positions on mp3.com circa 2002-2004, he has continued to produce music in his signature style.
About Nick
Nicholas Cristo is a graphic designer and web developer from Southern California. He developed a love for all things creative at an early age and has been pursuing interests in traditional and digital art, painting, graphics technology, creative writing, and film for several years. Nicholas has also been working as a freelance designer for the past few years aside from also working in the publishing industry.
Origin of the Name
SNN Core was born in Reno, Nevada in 1993 while Sean and Nick were attending elementary school. Despite their young age, the duo recognized the importance of structure and organization and formed an early partnership that they referred to as SNN, which at the time meant simply “Sean ‘N’ Nick.” The label became a vehicle for their endeavors, which ranged from story writing to roleplaying, arts and crafts, outdoor exploration, and other such outlets of imagination. Eventually Sean and Nick grew up and each found their ultimate creative love of electronic music and graphic design, respectively. Since then, SNN has evolved more appropriately into the Sean and Nick Network, which today has become a true partnership agreement with the duo’s accumulated projects now forming said network.
